Hello Potential Volunteer Leaders!

Let me start off by saying thank you...Thank you for showing interest in serving with high school students, but also thank you for answering God's call on your life to do it! The first step is always the hardest, but ask any of our other leaders in the student ministry and they can tell you that the spiritual rewards are well worth it.

At Mecklenburg Community Church we believe that everyone is gifted by God in some way or another. Some have great small group leading abilities, some have great organizational skills, some can blow fire and juggle knives...whatever God has gifted you with we could use you in the student ministry.

Healthy youth ministry is built on healthy relationships between adult leaders and high school students. Healthy relationships are the key to students feeling loved and understanding God's love. This is when real spiritual growth takes place in a students life. That's where you come in...

We are constantly looking for more leaders to invest in Christ-centered relationships with our high school students. We would love to get to know you and hear about your interst in serving at REALife High School Ministry.

Volunteer Leader Need Descriptions

Relational Leader - Commitment: Sunday nights from 6:10-8:45 plus additional contact work and leader meetings. This leader is at our services building relationship with students and leading a small group for discussion at the end of some services. These leaders are asked to make contact with students outside of REALife through emails, phone calls, texts, and occasional hang-outs to continue in the relationship building process while guiding them in their relationship with God.

Set-up Team - Commitment: Sunday Afternoons from 12:30-1:15. This team sets up for both Middle and High School services by moving chairs, setting up video games, etc.

Check-in/Tear Down Team - Commitment: Sunday Nights from 6:20-7:30. This team helps check students in on our computerized system, then helps break down our downstairs set-up as our service starts upstairs.

Worship assistance - If you are gifted musically I will connect you with our Worship Leader. Please let me know if this relates to you.

Graphic Design - Commitment: Need based. This person will help design graphics or video that help in our sermon or promotional needs. This person may also help with video if so gifted.

Serve Day Team - This team is available one Saturday (approx. 9am-1pm) a month to help drive and assist in our monthly service project.
